Elizabeth M. “Bertha” Rosetta (Ceppetelli), 87, of Providence, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 of heart failure. She was the beloved wife of Jack Rosetta. Born in Oxford, MA, she was raised in Webster, MA before moving to Providence. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Ida Ceppetelli and sister of the late Anna Rulli.
Bertha worked for the Gorham Manufacturing Co. for many years before retiring from a stroke in 1981. She was an avid Red Sox fan.
Besides her husband of 43 years, she is survived by a brother, William Ceppetelli of Webster, MA and leaves two neices, Maryann Zagami and Susan Nagle and her husband James; a nephew, John Ceppetelli and his wife Nancy and three grand nieces, Leighann, Lisa and Amy and their children, Abigail, Madison and Benjamin. Bertha was the step-mother of Edward McCahey and his wife Nancy; the grandmother of Karyn Monti and her husband Henry and the great grandmother of Elyse, Alexa and Michael Monti. She also leaves two sisters-in-law, Helen Rosetta and Jane Cardosa and her husband John.
Her Funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m., from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Pius Church, Eaton St., Providence. VISITATION Sunday 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to American Heart Association, 222 Richmond St., Providence, RI 02903.
