Ellenjane C. Croke

Ellenjane Cox Croke, 87, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away December 21, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Major Robert T. Croke, US Army (ret). She was the daughter of the late James L Cox and Anna Houston Cox, and sister of the late Virginia Varone.

Ellenjane graduated from Salve Regina College and taught school early in her life. Ellenjane and her husband traveled through Europe while Bob was stationed in Germany. Once stateside they lived in several states along the East Coast before returning to Rhode Island. She enjoyed attending family gatherings and the company of her loved ones. Ellenjane will be missed, especially by her niece Vanessa Varone, who became her caregiver in Ellenjane's later years.

She leaves her brother-in-law, Richard D. Croke and wife Helen of East Providence and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 28. 2021 from 9-10 AM at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St, N. Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Raymond Church, 1240 North Main St, Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
