Emma Pagler

PAGLER, Emma M. (Pacia), 96, of Barnes St, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at the Golden Crest Nursing Centre.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Pagler. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Elisa (Fiore) Pacia. She lived in Mamaroneck, NY for 75 years before returning to RI three years ago.

Mrs. Pagler owned and operated her own business for sixty years before retiring at the age of 88 and was proud to be recognized and honored as the 1st business woman to own a Firestone franchise. She also was an avid Yankees Fan.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews including Elise and Thomas Maggiacomo of Greenville with whom she lived. She was the sister of the late Domenico, Salvatore, Anthony Pacia, Sylvia Dawley, Camella DeMarco, Delores George and Eleanor Salerno.

Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9:30 am from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St., Providence. Internment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery. VISITATION: Monday 9:30 – 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers contributions to LaSalle Academy Alumni Assoc., 612 Academy Ave., Providence, RI 02908, in her memory would be appreciated.
