Ethel Virginia “Ginny”passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at her home in North Providence. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ethel (Howarth) Bowers.
She studied sociology and criminal justice at Rhode Island College and worked as a client advocate at Beta Community Services in Attleboro, Massachusetts for many years.
Ginny is survived by her loving son Christopher and his wife Breeda and her beloved granddaughter Lily. She was the sister of the late James, Ernest and Robert Bowers and the late Barbara Smith. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence. Interment in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence, will be private.
