It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Evelyn A. (Colarusso) Marino, 88 of North Providence. Evelyn passed on Sunday April 16, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence to the late Felice and Elisabetta (DeCristofaro) Colarusso, she was the beloved wife of the late Anthony L. Marino for 57 years.
Evelyn was a dedicated homemaker and excellent cook. She worked as a school lunch monitor and later as a teacher assistant for the North Providence School Department. She was an active member of the Sons of Italy and North Providence Senior Center, as well as a parishioner of Mary Mother of Mankind Church.
Evelyn will always be lovingly remembered by her children, Diane Marino and her partner Stephen Fonseca, Paul Marino and his wife Susan, and Michael Marino and his wife Tracy. Evelyn had three grandchildren whom she adored, Amanda Noonan, Paul Marino Jr., and Michaela Marino. She is predeceased by her sisters Nancy DiOrio, Marie Colarusso, and Louise Colarusso.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 8:00 am from Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at Mary Mother of Mankind Church, Fourth St, North Providence. Interment in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation, Friday 4-7 pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children Research Center.
