Evelyn Pezzi (DiJoseph), 91, of Greenville, passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late John A. Pezzi. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Abramo and Antonetta (Vedechia) DiGuiseppe.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Evelyn was happiest in her life when she was spending time with and pleasing her family. She also enjoyed cooking her favorite Italian dishes.
She was employed as a mender in the textile industry. She leaves two sons, Thomas Pezzi and his wife Doreen of Bonita Springs, Fla. and John Pezzi of Corpus Christi, Texas; a daughter, Elaine Winthrop and her husband Joseph of Greenville; nine grandchildren, Kerri Chelo and her husband Jay, Kimberly Ferreira and her husband Richard, Joseph Winthrop and his wife Deryn, Eric Pezzi and his wife Natasha, Gina Brooks and her husband Steve, David Caputo and his wife Amanda, Becky Beseta and her husband Wess, Leah Pezzi and Jessica Walters and fourteen great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John DiJoseph, Albert DeJoseph, Rose Mignanelli and Anita Buckley.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Ave., Greenville. Visitation Monday 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
