Evelyn Votolato

Evelyn (Parisi) Votolato, 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023 after a long and happy life with her family.

Evelyn was the daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Cribari) Parisi and the youngest sister of 8 children who have all predeceased her: John Gigliodoro, Rose Sylvestri, Josephine Laporte, Pasquale Gigliodoro, Frances Shuman, Louis Parisi, and Amelia Conte.

Evelyn was the wife of the late George Votolato who predeceased her in 1998. She is survived by her beloved daughter Debra Mendillo, son-in-law Walter Mendillo, granddaughter Sheri Masiello and husband Carl Masiello, and grandson Michael Morgera and fiancè Kerri Edine.

Evelyn also leaves behind her cherished great grandchildren: Marina Morgera, Sebastian Masiello, Xavier Masiello, Mavric Morgera, and Alexander Masiello. Seeing her great grandchildren, even in her final days, always brought a smile to her face.

Evelyn was affectionately known as "Grammy" to all who knew and loved her. Grammy's happiest moments were well spent with her family. She enjoyed simple pleasures such as family dinners, holidays, celebrations, attending dance recitals, watching her favorite television shows, crocheting, and eating good food and desserts.

In celebration of this beautiful life, visitation will be held on Monday morning, October 16, 2023  from 8 - 10 a.m., followed by a Prayer Service in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St,. North Providence, RI.  A private burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyn's name to Hope Health Hospice & Palliative Care at HopeHealthCo.Org/MemorialGiving
