Ezio Volpe, 78, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 8, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Antonietta (DiNitto) Volpe for 51 years. Born in Introdacqua, L'Aquila, Italy, he was the son of the late Concezio and Annina (Colasante) Volpe. Mr. Volpe was a loving husband, grandfather and great grandfather. A proud family man, he lived for his family, taught everyone to stick together and enjoyed teaching his grandchildren how to garden. Although he was extremely proud of his Italian Heritage, his saying was "God Bless America," because he thought this was the greatest country in the world. Mr. Volpe volunteered as a Johnston Recreational Soccer Coach and was always there to cheer on his grandchildren at sporting events. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. He was Active Vice President of Salvatore Mancini Lodge. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Paul A. Volpe and his wife Lisa; his son-in-law, David Corona; four cherished grandchildren, Melissa Volpe, Paul Volpe Jr. and his wife Jenna, Domenic Corona and Jaydon Volpe; and his treasured great granddaughter, Lylah Volpe. He was the father of the late Ann Marie Corona. His funeral will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave., Providence. Entombment will be in St. Ann Cemetery Mausoleum, Cranston. Visitation Friday 4 - 7 p.m. Please Omit Flowers.
