FAUSTO “JUNIOR” ANDREOZZI, 85, of North Providence, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of the late Rose E. (Baccari) Andreozzi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Diomede and Anita (Lombardi) Andreozzi.
Mr. Andreozzi was the Food Service Director at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital for 30 years before retiring. He previously co-owned and operated the former Welcome Restaurant in Providence. He was a communicant of St. Augustine Church, a member of AARP and the Knights of Columbus – St. Augustine Council. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War.
A loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, he is survived by four sons, William F. Andreozzi and his wife Paula, Paul F. Andreozzi, husband of the late Mary Jayne, Steven M. Andreozzi and his wife Joanne and Michael D. Andreozzi and his wife Jodi; two daughters, Karen T. Olivieri and her husband Philip and Elena J. Orabona and her husband Michael; a sister, Mary DiLorenzo; 14 grandchildren; and a great granddaughter. He was the brother of the late Gene, Alfred, Sossio “Champ”, Joe, Guido, Americo and Frank Andreozzi, Jennie Quaglieri, Ida Discoli and twin sister, Anna Noto.
His funeral will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
