Filomena "Phyllis" (Macedonio) Altieri, 92, passed away at Cherry Hill Manor on Sunday, March 31, 2024. She was the wife of the late Anthony Altieri, Jr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Maria (Corsetti) Macedonio.
She was a devoted wife, mother and catholic. She dedicated her life to family, leading with hard work and honesty. Known as "Meals On Wheels," Phyllis delivered meals to those in need. Everyone enjoyed her soups, spinach pies and meatball sandwiches. She will be truly missed but joyfully remembered.
Phyllis is survived by her brother, Louis Macedonio and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Anthony Altieri III and Alfred Altieri and the sister of the late Bob Macedonio, Anthony Macedonio, Pam Larney, Evelyn Tedeschi and Ann Cottle.
Visitation will be held Tuesday Morning, April 9, 2024 from 8:15 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Interment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phllyis' memory may be made to St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston, RI 02920.
