Filomena C. Berardi

Filomena C. Berardi (Pinelli), 78, of North Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 7, 2023. Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Carmela (DelRicci) Pinelli and the wife of the late Guido Berardi.  

Filomena emigrated from Italy to America with her parents when she was 9 years old. She attended St Ann’s Catholic School and graduated from Hope High School in 1965. Filomena went on to work in accounting for 20 years at RN Koch. She then spent 20 years in healthcare working firstly for Butler Hospital and then at Women & Infants Hospital prior to retiring. Filomena was an active member of the Catholic Church community and enjoyed traveling to England and Italy.

A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by her two children, Guido Berardi and his fiancée Mary Hillman and Debora Berardi and her husband Andrew Thomas; her brother, Luigi Pinelli; and her three grandchildren, Alexander Thomas, Sofia Thomas and Christian Berardi. She was the sister of the late Alfredo Pinelli. Filomena loved spending time with family and friends and will always be remembered as a kind and gentle soul by everyone who knew and loved her. She will be forever missed. 

Visitation will be held Monday Morning, August 7, 2023, from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations in Filomena’s memory may be made to the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy. https://www.shrineofdivinemercy.org/
