Filomena Campanelli

November 1, 1919 — June 13, 2021

Filomena Campanelli (Calcagni), 101, of Warwick, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Brentwood Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Salvatore Campanelli. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Cirino) Calcagni.

Filomena was a jewelry worker for the former Curtis Jewelry for over 20 years. She loved reading, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a supporter of Meeting Street school and always donated her Bingo winnings to their annual telethon.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Campanelli and his wife Bertha; her daughters, Irene Saccoccio and Judith O'Brien and her husband James; a brother, Angelo Calcagni, and three grandchildren, Scott O'Brien, Candace Campanelli and Joel Nichols.

Thank you to everyone at Brentwood Nursing Home, especially the staff on the first floor East Wing for their care and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave, Providence. Burial is private and calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in Filomena's memory may be made to Meeting Street School, 1000 Eddy St., Providence, RI. 02905.
