FILOMENA PERROTTA (LUBRANO), 97,of Providence, passed away Friday, May 18, 2007 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late John Perrotta. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Maria Rosa (Impagliazzo) Lubrano. She moved to Italy with her parents at the age of 3 growing up in the Town of Monte di Procida near Naples. She later returned to Providence at the age of 20 and was employed as a seamstress by John Perrotta, a tailor whom she was soon to marry.
Filomena was a member of the Federal Hill House Senior Center. She was a loving wife and mother and a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves three sons, Ralph Perrotta and his wife Inge, Leo Perrotta and his wife Norma and John Perrotta and his wife Donna; a daughter, Linda Perrotta and her husband John Rao; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Luigi and Giuseppe Lubrano and Angelina DeSiano.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9am, from The MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Holy Ghost Church, Knight St., Providence. VISITATION Monday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Federal Hill House, 9 Courtland St. Providence, RI 02909.
