Frank Amalfitano

Frank J. Amalfitano, 83, of North Providence, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Miriam Hospital after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Rosemary (DiStefano) Amalfitano. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Louis and Josephine (Damiano) Amalfitano.

Frank was a Master Plumber for over 60 years. He was an avid fisherman for most of his life, and enjoyed woodworking and creating toys for his great-grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Besides his wife of 62 years, he is survived by his sons, Frank J. Amalfitano, MD and his wife Cristina, and David L. Amalfitano and his wife Sherry; his daughters, Cheryl L. Thibodeau and her husband David, and Maria R. Stoehr and her husband Kevin; a brother, Louis Amalfitano; his sisters, Ruth Tremblay and Rita Matarese; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Joseph M. Amalfitano.

Visiting hours will be Monday, July 15, 2024, from 8:30-10:00 AM, at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, 4 Lafayette St, Johnston. Burial will be private.
