Frank Tutalo

Frank A. Tutalo Sr., of Cranston, RI, 77, passed away on May 3, 2023 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of nearly 54 years to Annette (Mercurio) Tutalo, devoted father to two children, Frank Tutalo Jr., and Jennifer Lynn Tutalo; adored “Papa” to Tyler and Carmella Tutalo; and cherished father-in-law to Patti (Brady) Tutalo. He was the son of the late Angelo "Tutu" and Mabel Tutalo.

Born and raised on Federal Hill, Frank worked as a tax appraiser for the City of Providence for 25 years until he retired. He was a lifelong fan of the Red Sox, Bruins, and New York Giants.

Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, plus exploring new restaurants (and often comparing them against his wife’s better cooking). For the past 35 years, he played in several fantasy baseball and basketball leagues, including one of the first-ever leagues in Rhode Island. 

Frank was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Cranston for over 25 years. He was a member of the Madonna Del Rosario Society in Providence.

Frank earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Husson University, where he was also a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School.

His funeral will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 8:30 A.M. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Immaculate Conception Church, 235 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 P.M. - 6 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donation’s in Frank’s memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 209 W Central St., Natick, MA 01760.
