Gaetana C. Palumbo

Gaetana "Katy" Palumbo (Colafrancesco), 87, of Providence, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Palumbo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Amelia (Natalia) Colafrancesco.

Katy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was known for her cooking and passing on her Italian traditions to her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice Fabiano and her husband John Fabiano, Jr., Maureen Bigelli and her husband Dr. Angelo Bigelli, and SallyAnn O'Donnell and her husband Donald O'Donnell; her son, Dr. Anthony R. Palumbo and his fiancée Kristi Bussler; ten grandchildren, Jason and his wife Becky, John III and his wife Erin, Marissa and her husband Lucas, Briana-Marie, Kaitlyn and her husband Brian, William, Jacquelyn, Ariella, Aurora and Luis; six great-grandchildren, John IV, Sophia, Salvatore, Avery, Nicholas and Brody.

Visiting hours will be Friday, August 20, 2021 from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St.Pius IV Church, Eaton St., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
