George Grande

George Grande, 92, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 18, 2019.  He was the beloved husband of Antonetta (Paolucci) Grande for 68 years.  Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Alfonso and Anna (Carruba) Grande. Mr. Grande worked in textile manufacturing for many years before retiring.  He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a faithful parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. In addition to his wife he is survived by his four children, Christine Rusnak and her husband Michael, Helen Stravato and her husband James, George A. Grande and his wife Kathleen and Annette Hill and her husband Raymond; six grandchildren, George A. Grande II, Joseph Rusnak, Anthony Grande, Sarah Horgan, Tayla Hill and James Hill; and two great-grandchildren, Timothy and Isabella.  He was the brother of the late Luigi, Pasquale and Anthony Grande, Clara Andreozzi and Angela Marcoccio.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 239 Regent Ave., Providence.  Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Visitation Monday 4 - 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Grande's memory may be made to: Amedisys Foundation, 1 Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI  02914.
