Giacomo taught at North Smithfield High School for many years before retiring. Prior to his career as an educator, he worked as a mold maker at Crafford Tool & Die in East Providence, a machinist at Baxter's Jewelry of Warwick and A. Martirossian's Jewelry Shop. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and was a devoted member of the Cranston Christian Fellowship Church, now Hope Church for over 48 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Thomas Chiarini and his wife Linda; two daughters, Dana Cloutier and Kathy Buffi and her husband, Michael; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was the father-in-law of the late Daniel Cloutier and brother of the late Fred Chiarini Jr., Anna Houlker and Rose Collins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Giacomo’s Life on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Hope Church, 1114 Scituate Ave., Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
