Gloria Zeppetella, 90, passed away peacefully Monday, March 14, 2022. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Maria (Lania) Colone and was the wife of the late Rocco Zeppetella, Jr. She was the sister of the late Angela Spagnoli and the late Frank Colone.
Gloria worked throughout her life as a bank teller, bookkeeper, and managing the finances for her husband's jewelry companies. Her last position was that of bakery manager at Crugnale's Bakery in East Providence before retiring at the age of 76.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her daughter, Gina M. LeClair and her husband, Jason; her son, Rocco L. Zeppetella and his wife, Courtney; and her three cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Lauren, and Jenny Cayer as well as her best friend and cat confidante, Leni.
Gloria's strong spirit was matched only by her sharp wit and wisdom. She was a consummate baker and cook, avid reader, and author of her own cookbook! Her entire family and many friends enjoyed lovingly prepared treats and gourmet meals while being entertained at countless dinners and special occasions. Her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and in-laws from the Zeppetella, Colone, and Spagnoli families held a very special place in her heart.
Gloria had a full and joyous life for the last 90 years. For all who were graced by her warmth, bright eyes, and laughter, may you continue to spread her spirit of life, love, humility, and joy to those you encounter.
Gloria's funeral will be private, and visitation is respectfully omitted. Donations in her memory may be made to: Polycystic Kidney Foundation (PKD), PO Box 871847, Kansas City, MO 64187;
