Helen Hill (Moskaluk)(Onysko), 97, of Salisbury, NC, previously of Wellfleet, MA and Providence, died Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks in Salisbury. She was the wife of the late Edwin I. Hill and Harry Moskaluk. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Mikola Onysko and Tekla Derlycia.
Helen had previously worked for Davol Rubber Co., Industrial Trust National Bank and George Greer and Sons.
She was the mother of Carole Matarese and her husband Nicholas, Helen Standley and her husband Thomas and Donald Moskaluk; grandmother of Michael Standley and wife Sarah and Dr. Christine Matarese; great-grandmother of Avery and Addison Standley; sister-in-law of Catherine Onysko and leaves several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Michael and Steve.
Visitation at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, Friday morning from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Church St., West Warwick.
