Helen D. Lonardo

Helen D. Lonardo (Perrotti), 82, of North Providence, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late William Lonardo, and the mother of the late William P. Lonardo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Louise (Laquaglia) Perrotti. For many years Helen was an owner of Orthopedic Appliance & Brace Center, a business that was started in 1959 by her late husband, Willam Lonardo, who ran the company until his untimely passing in 1976. She worked hard to keep the doors of this family business open in order to provide for her four young children, who meant everything in the world to her.  Helen made untold sacrifices and devoted her life to her family as it grew, spoiling her grandchildren the way she would have done to her own children if she could have.  Her life was not easy, but her strength and will kept her family close through all the difficult times. Sunday dinner at her house was a tradition.
