Irene Enrica Spirito

Irene E. Spirito (Gasbarro), 88, of East Greenwich, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank "Shiekie" Spirito and mother of the late Paul M. Spirito. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Teresa (Petrone) Gasbarro.

Irene was a secretary at Amica Insurance Co. and the former Gasbarro Liquor Wholesale. She is survived by her son, Robert A. Spirito and his wife Lisa; a brother, Eugene Gasbarro and his wife Sandra; a daughter-in-law, Paula Spirito, and two grandchildren, Lindsey and Philip. She was the sister of the late Patricia DeRobbio.

Her funeral and burial will be private.
