Italia Broccoli, 86, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Antimo Broccoli. Born in Marzano Appio Caserta, Italy, she emigrated to the United States with her family in 1966. She was the daughter of the late Michele and Maria (Mancini) DeSantis.
Italia worked for Koch Industries for many years before retiring.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her son, Jack Broccoli and his wife Lori; her daughter, Maria Mansella and her husband John; a brother, Rolando DeSantis; five grandchildren, John Nathan Mansella, Anthony Mansella, Amanda da Silva, Joseph Broccoli and Nicole Broccoli; and four great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Bruno and Roberto DeSantis.
Visitation will be held Wednesday Morning, January 8, 2019 from 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Italia's memory may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, a charity that was close to her heart.
