Jennie Minor-Cotnoir (Gendice), 90, of North Providence, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008, at Golden Crest Nursing Centre. She was the beloved wife of the late Hugh C. Minor, Jr. and Donald R. Cotnoir. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Nicolina (Marrotta) Gendice.
Jennie had worked at the Peerless Company in Providence as a sales person in the coat department for 25 years until retiring in 1978.
She leaves two sons, Hugh C. Minor III and his wife, Paula and George D. Minor and his wife, Shirley; a brother, Anthony Gendice; two sisters, Ruth DelSesto and Marie McDermott; four grandchildren, Lana Cardin, Michael Minor, Hugh C. Minor IV and Tricia Washburn and four great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Nicholas and Donato Gendice, Carmella Burley and Rose Romano.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Lawrence Church, Woonasquatucket Ave., North Providence. VISITATION Tuesday 4-7pm. Burial will be in St Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In Lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Sara Roth, Attn: Beggs Labortory Fund- Nemaline Myopathy Research, Children’s Hospital Trust, 1 Autumn St., #731, Boston, Mass. 02215.
