Jina M. Petrarca

Jina M. Petrarca (Allegretto), 93, of Providence, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2009 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter J. Petrarca, Sr. Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Antimo and Teresa ( Malito) Allegretto.

Jina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was a communicant of St. Ann Church in Providence.

She leaves two sons, Michael A. and John H. Petrarca; a daughter Eleanor Mancini; two sisters, Yolanda Mattocks and Esther Phillips; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Pasquale J. and Peter J. Petrarca, Jr.

Visitation Saturday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Edwards Food and Wellness Center, 1001 Branch Ave., Providence, RI 02904 or to the Desiree Mesolella Memorial Art Scholarship Fund, 235 Promenade St., Suite 140, Providence, RI 02908.
