Joanne Cardin

April 1, 1955 — September 9, 2024

Joanne M. Cardin, 69, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 9, 2024. She was the wife of the late Paul Cardin. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Belmira (Martins) Pacheco.

Joanne worked for the Pawtucket School Department for over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the Seekonk Congregational Church.

She was a lover of coffee and crossword puzzles, but her true passion was being the comic relief and keeper for her grandchildren, who never wanted for anything under her watch. She always proclaimed her indubitable love for them to anyone who was within earshot, every chance she could get. Her friends and family will always remember her as the kindest, most accepting, and selfless person in our lives. Memories of her laugh and boisterous presence she brought into any situation, no matter how solemn, will not soon be forgotten.

Joanne is survived by her two children, Jason Cardin and Michelle Kwolek; her two grandchildren, Angelina Toledo and Aaron Kwolek; and her companion, Joseph Peno. She was the sister of the late Jackie Issner.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 4 – 7 p.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence.  A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 3 p.m. with a coffee hour to follow in the Seekonk Congregational Church, 600 Fall River Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joanne’s memory may be made to: Seekonk Congregational Church, 600 Fall River Ave., Seekonk, MA 02771.
