JOSEPH A. DONATELLI, 84, of Sturbridge, MA, formerly of North Providence, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2007 at the Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton, MA, after a long illness.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Madeline H. (Hunt) Donatelli; a daughter, Lynne Conceison and her husband John, of Sturbridge; grandchildren, Joseph and Caroline Conceison, both of Sturbridge; brothers, A. Edmund Donatelli and Robert Donatelli, both of North Providence; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers John Donatelli, Anthony Donatelli and Vincent Donatelli and a sister Ernestine Rocchio.

Joseph was born July 21, 1922, in Providence, the son of the late Giuseppe and Guiditta (Urbano) Donatelli. He was an executive with the Donatelli Building Company and a member of the Association of General Contractors. He served as a Military Policeman in the U.S. Army during World War II, from 1942-45, earning a Good Conduct medal. He was a member of the American Legion Wanskuck Post #56. He lived in North Providence for most of his life, moving to Sturbridge in 2004.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m., from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Woonasquatucket Avenue, North Providence. VISITATION Tuesday 4-7 p.m. Burial with Military Honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
