Joseph G. Libutti, Sr., 95, of North Providence passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia. D. (English) Libutti. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Luigi and Maria (Tasca) Libutti.
Joseph was a pharmacist at the VA Medical Center in Providence. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and was a member of the Sal Mancini Senior Center.
He leaves two sons, Steven Libutti and his wife Nancy and Kevin Libutti and his wife Lynn; three grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. He was the father of the late Joseph G. Libutti, Jr. and the brother of the late Daniel, Albert, Armand and Enrico Libutti, Eda Libutti and Lena Riccio.
Visitation THURSDAY morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's’ Hospital Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
