Joseph A. Ianniello

Joseph A. Ianniello, 85, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.  He was the beloved husband of Dolores M. (Picone) Ianniello for 64 years.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ralph and Teresa (Andreozzi) Ianniello. Mr. Ianniello owned and operated the Checker Cab Company for many years before retiring. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Lorraine M. Ianniello and Teresa M. Tehrani and her husband Sy; a brother, Ralph Ianniello; a sister, Lucille Ianniello; three grandchildren, Marisa Pizzarelli, Vincent J. Oddo, III and Syana Tehrani; and five great grandchildren, Dana, Ariana, Joseph, Johnny and Dylan.  He was the father-in-law of the late Vincent J. Oddo, Esq. and brother of the late Rose Santangelo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave. Providence.  Entombment will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.  Donations in Mr. Ianniello's memory may be made to: Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI  02904.
