Joseph J. Bottone, 81, of Providence, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at RI Veterans Home in Bristol. He was the beloved husband of the late Emma (Martino) Bottone. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Rocco Antonio Bottone and Anna (Marcoccio) Bottone.
Joseph worked as a steamfitter for Litch Properties for over 25 years. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of the Tuscan Social Club. He also loved woodworking.
He leaves a son, Anthony J. Bottone and his wife Paula; a daughter, Paula O’Brien and her husband Charles; two brothers, Thomas Bottone and Pasquale Bottone; a sister, Lucy Zodda; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Bernard Bottone.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. VISITATION Friday 5-8pm. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
