JOSEPH PALUMBO, 82, of North Providence, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Steere House in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Viola (Pearce) Palumbo. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William and Caterina ( Ferrucci) Palumbo.
Joseph worked as a toolmaker for Armbrust Chain Co. of Providence for 45 years.
He was a loving husband and father and a devoted grandfather. Besides his wife of 53 years, he leaves four daughters, Ann Flannery, Jane Sheehan, Mary DiFilippo and Susan Palumbo; a sister, Mary Palumbo and ten grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Armando Palumbo and Mena Marcoccio.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St. North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Lawrence Church, Woonasquatucket Ave., North Providence. VISITATION Thursday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Steere House, 100 Borden St., Providence, RI 02903.
