JOSEPHINE PENSA,(SILVIO), 96, of Smith Street, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Epoch Healthcare of Blackstone Blvd. She was the wife of the late Achille “Cadillac” Pensa. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Christina (Cappezza) Silvio.
Josephine was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves two sons, Dr. Antonio Pensa and his wife Caroline and Dr. Frank Pensa and his wife Donna; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Edward and Michael Pensa, Elissa Cerros and Nicole Somvanshi, and six great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Ernest and Rose Silvio, Marianna Zincone, Fermina “Fannie” McKenery and Concetta “Connie” Smith.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Holy Ghost Church, Knight St., Providence. VISITATION Friday 6-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to San Miguel School, 12 Carter St., Providence, R.I. 02907.
