Julia “Judy” Gay (Andrade), 87, of Providence, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Elwood A. Gay. Born in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carlota (Tavares) Andrade.
Judy had worked as an attendant at Egan’s Laundromat in Providence.
She is survived by four sons, Robert Andrade, Randy Joseph, Barry Gay and Elwood M. Gay; two daughters, Sharon Gay-Coleman and Sheila Gay; a step-son, Elwood A. Gay; two brothers, Edward and Frank Andrade; a sister, Rose Wynkoop and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, neices and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph and Armand Andrade and Francelia Monteiro.

Visitation Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Edwards Church, 1001 Branch Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
