Julia, I. Grimo (Carbonetta), 86, of North Providence, passed away Friday, March 28, 2008, at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Grimo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Matilda (Bucci) Carbonetti.
Julia was formerly a member of Manton Seniors of Johnston where she was on their bowling league. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid Patriot and Red Sox fan. A devoted mother and grandmother, her greatest love was her family.
She is survived by a son, Michael Grimo; a daughter, Linda A. Grimo Maynard; a grandson, Paul Edward Maynard and a brother, Albert Carbonetta. She was the sister of the late Thomas and Alfred Carbonetta.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:30 am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Lawrence Church, 624 Woonasquatucket Ave., North Providence. VISITATION Sunday 4-7pm. Burial will be in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery, Barrington.
