Laura McCormick

Laura A. McCormick, 65, of Warwick, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. Born and raised on Union Ave in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Sara (Norigian) Derderian.

She was employed at Women & Infants Hospital, Providence for over 25 years before retiring in January 2023. She was known by her co-workers as the "Mother of Women & Infants" as her caring heart and warm nature were felt by all that were lucky enough to know her.

Laura is survived by her daughter, Casey E. McCormick; her son Thomas J. McCormick and his wife Beth McCormick; one brother Michael H. Derderian; one granddaughter Malin Rose McCormick, who provided her daily joy ever since her arrival in February 2023.

Visitation will be held Friday April 21, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., at Saints Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 70 Jefferson Street, Providence, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence.
