Lawrence "Lary" A. DeSantis

Lawrence A. “Lary” DeSantis, 89, of Cranston, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre. He was the beloved husband of Madeleine (Majerus) Moore DeSantis. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Giuseppina (Marzilli) DeSantis.
Mr. DeSantis had worked for the U.S. Postal Service before retiring in 1983. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.
Besides his wife of 34 years, he leaves two stepsons, Robert R. and Lawrence R. Moore; a granddaughter, Jennifer Coutcher; a great grandson, Nicholas Coutcher and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James and Alessio DeSantis, Lena Box, Josephine Taraska and Helen DeRobbio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10AM in Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight St., Providence. Visitation Respectfully Omitted. Burial will be private.
