Leo A. Mistowski, 95, of Johnston, passed away March 6, 2018 at Cedar Crest Nursing Center in Cranston. He was the beloved husband of Rose (Quaranta) Mistowski. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Skorupska) Mistowski. Leo was a Navy veteran of WWII. He served on the USS Nelson. He was a maintenance worker at Roger Williams National Park. An avid golfer, he also worked as a starter at Jamestown Golf Course. He attended LaSalle Academy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, North Providence Council. Besides his wife of 68 years, he is survived by his sons, Joseph Mistowski and his wife Harriet, and John Mistowski, and four grandchildren, Paula, Jonathan, Tom and Leia Mistowski. He was the brother of the late John Mistowski, Susan Danilowski and Katherine Plouffe. Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2018 from 8:30 to 9:20 a.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Hartford Ave, Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
