Lillian Scampoli (Golato). 86, of Providence, passed away Friday, April 24, 2009 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Michael Scampoli. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Maria Golato.
Lillian loved spending time with her family, enjoyed shopping with her daughter, taking care of her house and plants.
She leaves two sons, Michael Scampoli and his wife Ann Marie and Edward Scampoli and his wife Nancy; a daughter, Cathy Scampoli and five grandchildren, Marissa, Michael, Michaela, Mia and Edward Scampoli, Jr. She was the sister of the late Louis Golato, Viola Rossi and Jenny Barra.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Ave., Providence, followed by Burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to American Heart Association, 222 Richmond St., Providence, RI 02903.
