Lincoln A. Williams, 88, of Johnston, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Sunday, November 27, 2022. He was the devoted husband of the late Joan H. (Bamber) Williams, who passed away four days after her beloved husband of 67 years. Born in San Diego, California, he was the son of the late Lincoln A. Williams, Sr. and Agnes V. (Green) Chalk.
Mr. Williams retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years of service and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his cherished children, Margaret “Peggy” Smith, RayLeene Bianca and her husband Richard and Lincoln A. Williams III and his wife Julia; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Robert Williams and Shirley Reynolds.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. Interment with Military Honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
