Loreto L'Europa, 83, of North Providence, passed away Monday, March 2, 2008 at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre in Cranston. He was the beloved husband of Eleuteria (DiPucchio) L’Europa. Born in Sora, Provence of Frosinone, Italy, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Maria (Uriati) L’Europa.
Loreto had worked as a cabinet maker for Monarch Industries. Before coming to the United States, he was a self employed furniture maker . He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 94 and the Sal Mancini Center where he was on the Bocci Team. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife of 63 years, he leaves two sons, Joseph L’Europa and his wife, Milena and Vincent L’Europa and his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Luciana Edda Camastro and her husband Pasquale; three brothers, Rocco, Gerardo and Antonio L’Europa; a sister Lucia Robitaille, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Maria L’Europa.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Holy Ghost Church, Knight St., Providence. VISITATION Thursday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Please omit flowers.
