Loretto Marzilli, 83, of Greenville, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Antonetta “Etta” (Savastano) Marzilli. Born in Arce, Italy, he was the son of the late Eleuterio and Caterina (Forte) Marzilli. He had worked as a laborer and was a member of the Laborers Union, Local 271. He was also a communicant of Holy Ghost Church in Providence.
Loreto was a loving husband and father and a devoted grandfather. Besides his wife of 57 years, he is survived by a son, Larry Marzilli and his wife Debra; a daughter, Ann Rochford and her husband Tim and three grandchildren, Grace, Conor and Devin Rochford. He was the father of the late Joseph M. Marzilli, Maria Marzilli and Caterina Marzilli and the brother of the late Santino Marzilli.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Holy Ghost Church, Knight St., Providence. VISITATION Sunday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 220 North Main St. Suite 104, Natick, Mass. 01760.
