Louise Fandetti (Fandetti), 97, of Johnston, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Mt. St. Francis Health Center in Woonsocket. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Fandetti. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Rachel (Vandatte) Fandetti.
Louise was an assembler for Norton Industries of Johnston. As a teenager, she worked as a mill girl at Atlantic Mills and throughout her life she was employed by various local mills. She loved to cook and bake and was a gifted afghan crocheter.
She leaves two sons, Gerald N. Fandetti and John A. Fandetti; a sister, Carol Comella; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John and Peter Fandetti, Ginger Brown and Flora Zingale.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Visitation Friday 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
