Louise E. Simonson

Louise E. Simonson, 82 of Johnston, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Dale H. Simonson for forty-seven years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Elizabeth (Perrotti) Centore. Louise worked as a supervisor at American Jewelry Chain before retiring. She was a self-taught master baker, who made wedding cakes, birthday cakes, and cookies for every family function. Everywhere she went, she made friends. Her main joys in life included her beloved family, bowling, being an avid member of the Johnston Manton Seniors, as well as going out dancing on Saturday nights with her husband and their friends. Besides her husband, she is survived by her brother, Antonio (Tony) Centore and a sister-in -law Madeline Centore; four nephews, Pat , Anthony, Gerald and Thomas Centore; two nieces, Dolores Burke and Catherine Boutin; ten great nieces and nephews a and a great-great nephew. She was the sister of the late John and Rose Centore, sister-in-law of the late Mildred Centore and the aunt of the late Timothy Centore. Louise was loved by all who knew her and will be missed greatly. Her funeral will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 8:45 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITATION WENESDAY 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Robert Bellarmine Church & Charitable Ministries, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston, RI 02919.
