LUCILLE (LE CLAIR) ANDERSON, 85, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 at Briarcliffe Manor. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Anderson. Born September 11, 1924 in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Eledore and Cecilia (Moquin) LeClair.
Mrs. Anderson had worked as a supervisor at A.T. Cross in Lincoln for 32 years before retiring. After her retirement, she worked as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society of Rhode Island. She was a member of the Cranston Senior Center, president and publicity chair person of the Cherry Hill Association of Johnston.
A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her three sons, Dan Anderson of Providence, Tom Anderson of Washington and Bob Anderson of Johnston; two daughters, Elaine Desmarais of Connecticut and Maryann Duguay of Johnston; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren..
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m., from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. VISITATION Monday 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd. Ste. 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
