Lucille (Agnew) Sgambato, 91, of North Providence, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Albert Sgambato. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Rose (Brouillard) Agnew. Mrs. Sgambato worked for the Biltmore Hotel for many years before retiring. She was a member of the the Sal Mancini Senior Center.
A loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother she is survived by her three children, Carol A. Payette, Joseph A. Sgambato and his wife Maureen and Albert M. Sgambato Jr. and his wife Debbie; a brother, Herman "Sonny" Agnew; two sisters, Sister Shirley Agnew, R.S.M. and Florence Cioe; five grandchildren, Renee Pecarific and her husband Steven, Henry A. Payette and his wife Allison, Erika Thomson and her husband Tim, Ashley Sgambato and her fiancé Anthony Autiello and Anya Sgambato; and two great grandchildren, Rylee Pecarific and Lucas Payette. She was the sister of the late Charles Agnew, Esther Vendetti and Madeline Gaudreau. Visitation will be held Tuesday Morning, July 18, 2017 from 9 - 10:15 a.m. in the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.
