Luigi La Prova, 80, of North Providence, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the beloved husband of Luisa (DeGiulio) La Prova for 52 years. Born in Teano, Italy, he was the son of the late Angelo and Elvira (Paolino) La Prova.
Mr. La Prova owned and operated International Upholstery on Reservoir Ave. in Cranston and later worked for Martini Upholstery in North Providence before retiring. He enjoyed gardening and eating pizza with his grandchildren, who were his greatest joy. Besides his wife he is survived by his three daughters, Elvira Protano and her husband Michael Protano, Angela La Prova - La Vorgno, and Dr. Gina G. La Prova, and her husband Dr. Edward Chavez; a brother, Mario La Prova, and two beloved grandchildren, Leonardo and Massimo Chavez. He was the brother of the late Maria Ciazza and father-in-law of the late Philip La Vorgno.
