Marie Andreozzi

Marie (Carnevale) Andreozzi, 94, of North Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 29, 2023. She was the wife of the late Guido A. Andreozzi. Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rose (Travelyn) Carnevale.

Marie co-owned the original Welcome Restaurant in Providence with her husband. She had a passion for new adventures, traveling to many destinations around the world. She owned and operated the Pleasant Travel Agency for 15 years before retiring in 1999.

She was widowed at a young age and remained faithful and loyal to her husband throughout her life. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality, strength of character and fierce independence.

A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her five children, Rosemary Ryan, Paula DeTora, Cheryl Smith, Thomas Andreozzi and Susan Hammond; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her granddaughter and her siblings, Rachel A. Matarese and Thomas Carnevale.

Visitation will be held Thursday Morning, July 6, 2023 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
