Marie A. Montecalvo (VITI), 76, of Cranston, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Maggiacomo) Viti. Marie worked at Value Land for 30 years. She loved square dancing and the beach, especially on stormy days. She was an excellent cook who loved to entertain for family and friends. She was extremely creative and had a talent for crafting. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, particularly her lobster dinners with Reis on Mother's Day and sharing the love of the beach house and long talks with Samantha. She is survived by her two children, Ronald Montecalvo and his wife Theresa, and Rhonda M. Boehm and her husband Richard K.; a brother, Anthony Viti; three sisters, Gloria Melino, Connie Della Grotta and Sheila Viti, and five grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Louis Viti. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 10 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours respectfully omitted.
