Mary DellaVentura (Peters), of Providence, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late George DellaVentura. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Delia (Caida) Peters.
Mary had worked as a Sales Associate for the former Outlet company of Providence for many years and was also a co-owner of Mt. Pleasant Dance Academy, along with her daughter Lee Ann Gelfuso-Ventura. She was a seamstress and made her own clothes, coats and accessories and she liked to crochet and knit and produced many beautiful afghans. She liked watching the news but she especially loved being with her family and cooking for them.
Besides her daughter Lee Ann, she leaves another daughter, Ann M. Bianco; two sisters, Terry Villano and Lena Amaral,; three grandchildren, Dr. Steven Bianco, David Bianco and Joseph Gelfuso and a great grandson, Joseph Gelfuso.
A Service will be held Friday at 10:30am in the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Visiting Hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
