Michael DiPonte, 97, of Johnston, passed away Wednesday June 6, 2007 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Carmella (Terraciano) DiPonte. They were married for 72 years
Born in Santre Croce del Sannio, Italy, he was the son of the late Saverio and Vitangelo (Altieri) DiPonte.
Michael is survived by his sister, Angiolina Sengamici; his nephew Rich DiPonte and several nieces. He was the brother of the late Joseph DiPonte, Richard A. DiPonte and Christina Parlapiano.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 9am in St. Anthony Church, Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be private. Arrangements by Maceroni Funeral Home.
